Mid Winter Happenings

Our friends the Martins (http://www.farmviewer.blogspot.com/) post a "weekly update" on their blog - everything that's happened in a week. So, for this post, I thought we'd copy their idea and give you a glimpse into our last ten days or so. Once again, Kendall our photographer, has done an awesome job capturing life and "happenings" at the Glabs....
We start here, with the GEMS Royal Coronation! What a fun night we all had as the two youngest Glabs were crowned "princesses of the King of Kings!"
There were Majestic Mother and Daughter Portraits

A Princess Cake ... A special Herald alumni ... Corinne shared with the young princesses how there will always be a "Happily Ever After" when Jesus is the true Prince of your heart. Little Princesses ....
A crowning ceremony ....
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" 1John 3:1
And photos for every Princess by the Royal Photographers also, GEMS alumni ... thank you Kendall!
Next Up ... a small January snow shower ...
Followed by ....
Another GEMS event (busy week!)
The annual Father and Daughter Square Dance!
Yeeeeeha!
Which brings us to today ....

"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

And that's about it ... fun memories and lots of studying! Hope you are finding His amazing grace wherever your week leads you.

10:31 Banquet

Pre-Banquet Prep --- Kendall did an awesome job of capturing what "Banquet Prep" looks like at the Glabs ... ... all three of Corinne's sisters did an awesome job converting the gym into a dressing room ... it was perfect with the full length mirrors, candles, and curling irons galore ...
Ready for the dresses ...
One of Corinne's traditions is to have her Dad help her with her necklace :) Photo's before we go ...
Friends!
We arrived just in time for the photos ... Thanks Jean! :) The Three MusketeersAnd lots of shots with friends ....
Each January the 10:31 Youth Ministry at Covenant Life has a banquet to reflect on all that has taken place in the past year, to thank God for His awesome work in the youth ministry, and to honor two seniors who are living out 1 Corinthians 10:31 the theme of the youth ministry ... " So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." It's a wonderful opportunity spend a fun, formal evening together.
Special Thanks to the Admin team, made up of volunteers who took time from their busy season to serve the youth and their parents with such a wonderful banquet....and to Kendall, Kimberly, Christiana, and Brie for helping us get ready for the banquet, sending us off with hugs, and getting everything ready for the after party! We Love You!
